Creating a nursery for your soon to be new family member is one of the most extraordinary times in a Mother’s life.
The nursery is supposed to be cozy and comfortable for both mommy and baby.
In my opinion, these are some of the BEST nursery finds on Amazon to create that Whimsical Escape for the duo.
In fact, the following are items that have worked well specifically for me in my own nursery!

The Owlet smart sock and baby monitor is a wonderful system for your new little one.
Specifically, you can monitor your babies heart rate and pulse, alerting you of any issues.
If the monitor does go off, you will definitely hear it.
The alarm is a very “heart dropping” sound that will alert you of issues like low oxygen levels or a too low or too fast pulse.
Even if you are a hard sleeper like my husband and I, you will for sure wake up.
Furthermore, a nice feature of these newer Owlet monitors is the option to use your phone as a monitor.
Which is super cool, because you can see what’s going on even if you aren’t there, similar to a Ring.
For those few instances when you get to go out, you can check in on your baby even with the sitter there.
The Owlet monitor will even tell you things like temperature of the room.
I really utilized the phone monitor feature with my last child, because our house was very long, ranch style home.
With the peace of mind that Owlet provided, I could clean one end of the house, while my baby slept at the other.
This is a wonderful area rug to add to the appeal of a comforting, dreamy nursery.
The neutral blush rug is great for a variety of ways including roombas can easily go over the rug and not catch.
A swan rocker is the perfect addition for any nursery or little girls room.
This particular rocker comes with a stuffed swan to play and decorate with.
Here’s another type of stuffed animal rocker that has some gender neutral animals.
The nice thing about this particular rocker is that they have straps to hold your little one in safely while riding.
A tummy time mat is the perfect addition to any nursery.
An activity mat allows your baby to get stronger and more mobile while helping the aesthetics of the room.
A clothes hamper is a great asset for any nursery for various reasons.
For starters, you can use a hamper for the traditional purposes of dirty clothes storage.
I for one used it for baby blanket storage at one time and sometimes for toys.
The very best thing is that getting a neutral color is timeless and can be utilized as your new baby grows up through the years for different things.
A canopy is something to add to the nursery atmosphere over the crib or toddler bed.
Curtain ties are essential to let light into your baby’s nursery!
Beaded magnetic curtain ties are great for looks and they are magnetic, so there are no strings to tangle.
Soft, shaggy rugs are the BEST to add accents of color and aesthetically pleasing factors to your new nursery!
From personal experience, this type of rug works great in a nursery and transitions well into a little girl’s room decor.
Sound machines are another wonderful item to add to your nursery, as they provide calming sounds for your little one to fall asleep to.
The Hatch Sound Machine also acts as a night light and clock for you and your little one.
A headband holder is something awesome to have to be able to organize and actually see what you have for your new baby.
I enjoyed being able to see all of my little one’s headbands displayed and available for easy access when dressing her.
Baby crib sheets are also a must have on any nursery list.
These particular crib sheets are neutral and can last color-wise through multiple children.
Even if you already have a nice bedding set, these crib sheets are great to have on standby!
You will for sure need a cute, useable crib blanket. Although this was not my main blanket, I would use it to cover my baby.
This blanket is a very light one, with an adorable, boho pattern. It is also light for summer months.
Here is another super adorable crib blanket.
I didn’t have this one as my “main” bedding blanket, but was a great alternative in case a change of sheets needed to happen.
I’ve always been a fan of ruffles, and the neutral colors offered for this crib blanket can be used for many different themes.
By far, this was my favorite crib set for my daughter. I interchanged the other crib sheets and blankets when accidents happened.
To me, this ruffled crib bedding just fit her boho princess theme the best.
Of course, the main piece in your nursery will be your baby’s crib.
The Oxford crib is super adorable and affordable.
My favorite part is the crib’s back design. This crib will also look great once converted to a toddler bed.
A waterproof crib mattress is also a must for any crib.
My children, especially daughter, seemed to need quite frequent crib sheet changes.
Between waterproof mattresses and mattress covers, it gives a mother so much more of a piece of mind to keep your infant’s bed in good condition.
Also, even though some baby mattresses are waterproof and can just be wiped off, it always made me feel better to have a waterproof mattress pad protector over my baby’s mattress.
Furthermore, a mattress protector provides extra cushion for the baby.
You must always have a diaper changing station, and of course a nice diaper changing pad cover to keep your baby comfortable.
This diaper changing pad cover is super cute and soft for your little one, not to mention washable.
Some more universal diaper changing pad covers!
And these super cute diaper changing pad covers!
Organizers are essential for keeping products like lotions, diapers, wipes, and other necessary items for you and the baby.
At the same time as this organizer being useful, it is also super cute!
Here’s another super cute woven basket!
A hanging bow and headband holder is another amazing accessory to add to your new baby’s nursery.
The wonderful thing about a hanging bow holder, is that it acts as a decoration at the same time as storage.
Here is another bow and headband holder option!
This is a Bohemian Wall tapestry, a cute accessory to add to any nursery, regardless of the gender.
The tapestry could also move up with your child and go for a variety of room themes.
And of course you will need curtains for your baby’s new nursery.
I have these curtains for my daughter’s room, and are great addition to the room.
These curtains are floor to ceiling ruffles!
Another adorable set of curtains are these boho ruched curtains with butterfly flowers!
Even though this one is not battery operated, you can add a battery powered rotator for a spin and a crib arm.
The rainbow mobile goes well with many themes as a little girl grows older and can be used for years to come.
Another necessity for your nursery is a diaper changing pad.
This is a waterproof pad with a neutral exterior. Great for either gender and can be used for multiple nursery themes.
Another nice item to have for not only a new baby, but child and adults, is a humidifier.
Growing up, we did not have one. However, after having my own children who have allergies, we decided to buy a humidifier.
By far, this humidifier is my favorite that I’ve owned.
Cute and easy decor to add a splash of color is tassel garland.
I absolutely adore the look it brings to a room.
A mirror is something else great to add to a nursery.
This is another super cute piece to add to any girls room or nursery.
Bookshelves to display books that you receive from baby showers or sprinkles are also something nice to have in your new nursery.
For the most part the shelving is light weight, but durable and aesthetic. Again, this is an item that can span multiple children or age brackets.
Here’s another cute choice for shelving.
Finally, a recliner chair is a wonderful, comfort item to have in your nursery.
From feeding your baby to rocking them to sleep, a rocking reclining chair is a great asset to have.
